Applicant entity

Applicant entity (or AE) is the term used to describe an entity that has applied for accreditation and designation as a designated operational entity (DOE) under the CDM, before its application has been finalised (EB 34, Annex 1).

Prior to application it will be known simply as an entity. Once accredited by the Executive Board and designated by the COP/MOP, it will be known as a DOE.
