The DNA Forum was established by the Executive Board to promote cooperation and exchanges of experiences amongst designated national authorities (DNAs), with a view to building an adequate infrastructure for the CDM and overcoming other barriers (EB 23, paragraph 105(e)).
The UNFCCC Secretariat was encouraged to support the DNA forum by facilitating discussion and organising meetings. The first meeting of the DNA Forum was held in Bonn on 27-28 October 2006, and was attended by 81 DNA representatives and national focal points from both Annex I and non-Annex I Parties (EB 27, paragraph 107).
The meetings of the DNA Forum are ongoing. A fifth meeting will be held on 14 and 15 April 2008 in Bonn, Germany.
