Verification period

A verification period is a defined period of time (usually six months or one year) over which greenhouse gas emission reductions or removals are measured and authenticated by a designated operational entity (DOE).

In order to conduct the verification, a CDM project's emission reductions or removals are monitored, and the monitoring data for a verification period is then reviewed and assessed.
